Harriet Higgins:

Harriet is a Registered Financial Advisor with New York State. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Business receiving an MBA in Finance. Harriet also holds a Masters of French Language and Literature from Middlebury College, studied at the University of Paris and earned a BA in French from Wells College. Harriet also was an adjunct professor of finance and economics with NYU and Pace University.

Harriet currently is working with Schwab Financial to ensure her clients have access to the best advisement team possible.

What Harriet wants you to know about her:
I am passionate about working with clients to help them meet their financial needs and plan for the future. I will look at your entire financial picture, including cash reserves and debt management, investments, protection, and taxes. I also ask the right questions and listen closely to your answers. That way, you can feel confident that the advice I provide reflects your personal dreams and goals. My areas of focus are investments, wealth preservation strategies, and retirement planning.

Harriet’s Personal Interest’s: Harriet is currently on the Board of the Cortland Repertory Theatre and serves as Committee Chair for Marketing and Publicity. She is also a Trustee of the Glen Haven Historical Society and serves of the Nominating Committee of the YWCA of Cortland County. She was active on the board of the Newport RI Boys and Girls Club for 20 years before returning home to Cortland County.

Why the name Mayflower Capital LLC for the Investment Firm?:

Harriet is a member of the Mayflower Society. More than one hundred years ago, a group of descendants of the Pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower in 1620, saw the need for a national society to honor their memory. The intention was to remember these Pilgrims who established Plymouth Colony. She is a direct descendant of  William Brewster, ruling elder of the Plymouth Colony.
